This felt like a amv at the end and I was gonna cry. This made me emotional for old titans
Raven was very important character to inspire me as an atheist. It blew my mind that someone could know that the world would end for sure but despite that still chose to be kind and a hero and the best version of herself. At the time, years ago, living in a very religious country I have never met (or read about) anyone who would still value life if it was not going to last forever. Finding different point of view, even just in a cartoon was revolutionary to my mind and it had important and good influence on me. To the point that I would gladly call my daughter Raven.
Okay, but why do you have to call me out like that?
Wish kids my brother could’ve grown up with Original Ben 10 and Teen titans but he grows up with the reboots, welp it’s too late now.

In many ways, I agree with the post’r of this video.
For me, Raven was an enigma, with a crack into her personality. Her personality was built almost entirely on loss. Loss of her world, loss of friends in the past, loss of identity (partially restored being among the Titans), loss of her own father (a demonic class super-entity).
She was quiet, because she closed herself off, because of her loss. Our heroes found her in a dimension her father abandoned her in. She found purpose in that her new friends gave her something useful to do.
However, in many ways, she remains her fathers’ daughter. She is immensely powerful, in many areas. She even understands the reasons for her power.
And in the end, she even raised her power to such a level, that with the help of her friends; she went to war against her father… and won.
Hey sage i very like youre video about raven. As a fan of teen titan (watch all the teen titan adaptation except comics) i really enjoy the video. It should be more video like this.

A detail that I don't think anyone has brought up in these type of videos about Raven is about her child form. When she is reverted to a small child her cloak is white because she hasn't yet closed herself off to any of her emotions since young kids just be themselves until they learn otherwise to hide parts of themselves. Just something that I noticed that never seems to be brought up but I think is really interesting detail that goes under the radar a lot.

I've always had a bond to pick with Raven…
I know it's a very controversial opinion.
Don't get me wrong I think she is a fantastic c harecter. But I can't help up feel the other titans don't get as much love from the fandom.
That being said each titan is immensely complex and compelling. Consider them a prototype Guardians of the Galaxy.

I feel like Raven is that type of character that you don't really understand when you watched this show as a child but grow to love her once you go through hardships growing up because she is very relatable. Watching this video alone makes me feel hopeful. 😊
