I desperately wanted Greedfall to be great. Sadly, it’s a middling affair, with far too little content stretched too thinly, and what content is there is often deeply compromised.

Man this game looks soo good especially for indie devs…. wanted it to be good.
One of the worst reviews I have ever watched. The game is made by around 40 persons and the reviewer expects a triple a game
Its fookin lazy is what it is LMAO sorry lol
this game is a solid 7/10 for me. it felt like i was playing the first dragon age.
edit: the only thing i'll agree with is the lack of mini-map. opening the map every 10 seconds while in the wild was frustrating sometimes.
I play still like it, if you support the Dev eventually they will do amazing game. But the game it great … Not the best but good enough keep you entertained
Its a great game for rpg fans, especially those that liked the first dragon age. Give it a try, we rarely get new rpg IPs and thos one is fun.
I find this review so interesting as you list flaws but then caveats to each one… one of the biggest complaints you made about companions though I found a bit odd… while granted Dragon Age Origins had some deep companions, the first Mass Effect did not… they were not the fully fleshed out friends we knew and loved until the 2nd or 3rd game… and the clips you pulled were almost all from Mass Effect 3. The level of world building and scope of the Witcher 3 is also on a 3rd game… I think it may be hasty to judge this outing to standards that successful sequels have. I think Greedfall was a strong showing that highlights Spiders improvements as they grow… I also think a sequel could knock it out of the park.
but cyberpunk 2077 is coming in 2020 and it's going to be grand
Noone who s played Witcher 1 and finishes it properly without rushing will say it was mediocre.Noone.Witcher 1 was not repetitive,it had soul and the character's were tremendously fleshed out.The story was AMAZING ,rpg mechanics briliant and the dialogue and choices and their consequences absolutely groundbreaking! The COMBAT could have been better but STILL it did not break the game..It seems to me people who say it was mediocre are console players who watched 30 min of playthrougs..The Witcher 1 was and is one of the best RPGs ever made and the MULTITUDE of awards it received proves it.I played and FINISHED it twice having a blast every time…
man.. was excited for this. 8 years waiting for elder scrolls 6, and basically nothing out there similar, at least not at that quality (ignoring the bugs ofc)
I like your videos, just too many ads in 30 minutes…
This review was the same as your criticism. Could of been 3 mijutes
I’m enjoying this game and feel it’s a great pickup for any rpg fan. Great story with great upgrades. Win
i kinda like it so far, all the quest (yes including side quest) has weight in it, not those fetch quest like in dragon age inquisition (which i still dont get why ppl like it. i mean compare to that this game is diamond), there are more than 1 way to complete your quest meaning more option on how you do things and this option is directly affected by how you spent your skill points, so not only skill will help you on combat but they will also help u traverse or give u a winning argument. combat is pretty fun, tho yeah the enemy variation are certainly lack and attack pattern are not very challenging. lip syncing and repetitive background are understandable since its not a big budgeted game. overall its pretty solid RPG and it would have been great RPG if they had more resource pour into the game.
Lipsynch? You now it is a french game? To someone who is used to tons of meeh synched german translations of english games, this is no issue at all.
The way a lot of sidequests are bound into the experience and often turn into a surprising bigger event (i only say Egon) is something most AAA games hvae lost.
There are a lot of voice actors from Dragon Age: Inquisition, which is great.
Skill Up: Ranged only is not a viable option for combat.
Spiffing: Ranged only is perfectly balanced as all thing should be.
You just reminded me why i subscrubed to your channel.
been playing their games since bound by flame, and with each game I can see them getting better and better, maybe one day they'll finally get the formula right, but Im glad they even got to this point
Just want to say I liked bound by flame, I felt some of the story elements were pretty cool but I didn't really feel like it was a great game and I can't easily say it was a good game because the core gameplay itself kind of felt a bit janky and flat. Didn't play too much of the technomancer but I felt there was more polish there and I felt like I was in for a solid step up over bound by flame gameplay-wise.
I'm still gonna play it sorry not sorry 😝
Sounds like another swing and a miss from spiders, I guess third times the charm.
I think it's just a matter of preference. To me a lot of complaints from Skill up weren't an issue for me so the game ended being perhaps one of my favorite. Anyway agree to disagree ✌
im buying this game for the screenshots dont @ me
A-a-a-a-a-and… not a word about modability :/
For anthem the lesson is in my words "If you have like 3 guns AND a terrible story/characters no amount of flashy cool gameplay especially bullet sponge gameplay will ever save you. No content and no cool additions to your looks bore people."
Sorry bro, I love your reviews but I dont agree with you on this one at all. 25 hours in and I can't get enough of this game. The quests are among some of the best I've played since probably Witcher 3. Anyone who's a lover of RPGs should DEFINITELY give this one a try.
If this a good game why can’t you recommend it?
You keep saying the story is good but you also said something alone the lines of “it is hard to recommend a game with good rpg elements and a shifty sorry.” So which is it? Is the story ok to good or shitty?
I love this channel and I can appreciate your point of view, I just don't agree with your opinion. While its true the game has many flaws, what works here far outshines what does not. I just finished it and as far as I'm concerned, this game stands head and shoulders above what Bioware and Bethesda have recently been turning out! It's a game that has no ridiculous loot boxes, microtransactions, or the like. Just a good old fashioned well written story based RPG, something I have truly missed! Also, how can you say that the game isn't recommended while hoping it gets a sequel? A strange contradiction wouldn't you say?
Been playing since release. The lip sync does not effect your enjoyment of the game and the fact that de sardet did not make me laugh literally never crossed my mind. The world is fun to explore, the combat while clunky can be really fun, and you get to make some impactful decisions throughout! lots of customization to do and really interesting side quests!
7:00 haven't you got spoiled by all AAA-games? Lack of lip-sinc is fine. Stop acting as if that's the end of the world. And no. Andromeda didn't get the shit for lip-syncing, but facial animations/expressions and shitton of bugs.
Copy-pasting interiors….that is the single one thing I just can't tolerate after Dragon Age 2. That alone is enough for me to never buy this game. And I was so looking forward to it.
Hopefully Spiders are aware of feedback like this and they learn!
If you were to play any RPGs from spider I would recommend greedfall after all a bit of poison on your blade and let's go!
