Good info
If you’re reading this…go to Facebook and like the business page. No Syd Media… No Syd is my last name backwards….creative I know.
Thanks so much!!! This makes it so much simpler. Invoicing can really get so messy!
Every time he states “word of mouth”, take a shot!
damn, this is so dope bruh.its helpful
It's refreshing to hear humility (at 1:43) from a creator who has such a well-honed skill set. Awesome advice (as usual) as well.
Which tripod are you using in the Rap-Scence? 🙂 Great video…
Where is your video about your thoughts on BMPCC 6k ?
Great video! Love watching your progression.
do you have templates of any contracts and or proposals?
THANKS FOR THE INFO BRO
Yo these tips are coming in handy! The business side of the Videography is where I was having issues! Thank all of y’all!

bruv, great tips! I just quit my full time office job a few months ago to become a full time videographer. So far I've been getting clients through the old school method of cold calling local businesses in the area and pitching them – and that has already worked! But I will implement your tips as well!
I will create a real! 😀
Great video
Love your vids bro. You charge the client for BTS?? Elaborate more on that please!
Good advice
just curious, did you study videography or cinematography in a formal setting e.g a school
where can I find your work
New to the channel but this video definitely did help! Just started my own freelance production company and just starting to reach out to people so this helps bro thank you!
@YCimaging thanks so much for the advice and tips. Would you consider making a similar video on build a good (Reel) for those of us who are building our skills as a videographer/cinematographer still but need to have a body of work. I have films from film school I think would work but I'm not sure how to narratively piece them together because I don't really have a lot of frames of reference for reels. I'm sure I could google search but I think there is value to people that have a certain aesthetic and style like you, that I enjoy and want to know how they make their reels for possible clients. Thanks
Solid tips man : )
dope advice as usual.. thank you brother …im in the travel and tourism video game and ig is my bread and butter
Bro, you are lit A.F! love your tips and all!!!
Bro I think website is definitely a must-have for finding clients. It helps me interface with potential clients.
I just recently acquired a new client for a wedding and what helped a lot was using google AdWords and ensuring my website was SEO Optimized.
Assuming your content is good the hardest thing about finding clients is getting them to find you! You have to do everything u can to remove anything that will stop a potential client from reaching out to you.
It’s good to do a budget breakdown, but be smart with it or a client will be taking stuff out to save OR will be asking questions like “how come this cost this much?” What I do is make a list of things and write a tally under it, that way they will appreciate the work going in and not try to omit those they feel will save money.
Hashtag tip was dope.
I do business video but I want to start doing more music videos because I’m a music producer as well. All of these are great tips but The problem with itemizing at least with business clients is they will start asking why they need this or that and they may try to make you take some stuff out and that can make the video less quality. But what you can do is show them the value by asking them how much a client is worth over a year and if they say $1000 for instance I would be like well if this video gets you 1 client per month that would be $1200 per year. Each year. would this price of $2000 be worth it? And they be like yes. But then again, they are in business and They understand money so it’s different than a music artist. I wouldn’t know how to show an artist that value.
Create spec works for 3-5 different subjects out of your own creativity and cut all of them into a minute min reel or so. This is what you do when you’re starting out from ground zero. Just think about what kinda clients you want, the current trend (even if you don’t follow trends), the type of videos that sells (not just mv), do some free works too if you’re new and just take a day to go thru as much creative works of other ppl on youtube, insta and vimeo and replicate them in a good way if you’re stuck.
Keep creating YC! 👏
I Dare you to Shoot a video with the Canon M50!
Great tips as usual bruhhh really appreciate it!!
God bless you bro
don't forget to write up contracts, and also a deposit fee or money up front!! ( those are some of the mistakes that I made when I first start shooting music videos)
great advice
vibe was way off from the rip lol
Thanks for the tips! I'm gonna take them into use
You always drop great info sir! Keep shinning!!!
Hey man,
Love the videos. You say a lot of stuff other people will tell you–sometimes obvious stuff like "Make a demo reel!"–but you always say it in a way that's positive and encouraging. Keep doing what you're doing!
what is a substantial amount of music videos to create a reel?! (primarily music videos)
just emailed a potentially big client
doesnt have a reel
YC: you need a reel
Totally agree, those are great tips to secure the bag! Also in Bwnc has created a how to charge guide a little bit more in deep and they talked about that topic in the podcast frequently. I don’t want to sound like spam but black with no cream should having you in the podcast you will be a dope guest same as Matt Alonzo or Jakob Owens ✌🏻
